If you think things get weird on Fargo, then just wait for Noah Hawley’s new series, Legion.
FX has released two new teaser trailers for the upcoming Marvel X-Men series, including some drool-inducing footage. The above trailer shares an inside look into the mind of David Haller (Dan Stevens), hailed previously as maybe “the most powerful mutant we’ve ever encountered.” A second short teaser gives a peek at life inside an institution for Haller and his pal Lenny (Aubrey Plaza).
Legion follows Haller, a diagnosed schizophrenic, who begins to believe the voices he hears and visions he sees might actually be real. In the comics, Haller is the son of Professor Charles Xavier, but FX boss John Landgraf has said not to expect crossovers between the show and X-Men films.

“The series Legion takes place in a parallel universe in which the U.S. Government is in the early days of being aware that something called mutants exist, but the public does not,” he shared. “I wouldn’t foresee characters moving back and forth because they really are parallel universes.”
While they may not intersect, they will share a behind-the-scenes DNA as Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg are producers on both. The series, which also stars Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, and Katie Aselton, premieres in 2017.
